Children's Books · Under the name Baba
The lessons are invisible.
The stories are not.

Children don't need to be lectured. They need to be enchanted.
Baba Books are picture books and chapter books for children, written under the name Baba. They ask the same questions the adult work asks — about purpose, about identity, about what makes a life worth living — but they ask them through stories.
The wisdom is woven into the narrative. The lessons are absorbed, not taught. By the time the child closes the book, they have learned something they don't know they have learned. And it stays with them, the way the stories you loved at six are still with you.
"The books we read at six shape the questions we ask at thirty-six."
Why it matters
Most children's literature is either entertainment or instruction. The first is forgettable — pleasant for an afternoon, gone by the morning. The second is condescending — children sense being taught at, and they close down.
Baba Books occupies the third space, the space where literature has always lived: stories that move children emotionally and shape them invisibly. Stories children ask for again. Stories parents are quietly grateful they read together.
